About
The Welcoming
Baby Co.
You’re not alone! Birth is something many of us fear. We wonder if it’s best to just ‘wing it’ and hope for the best. And we’ve all heard our fair share of negative birth stories. Enough to put you off right? I’ve been there, surrounded by info (and opinions) on how birth should look but no clue about how to do it.
It doesn’t have to be that way! Decent birth education can make a HUGE difference to your experience of labour, birth, and newborn life. That’s where I come in…
Congratulations! Feeling overwhelmed?
I’m Hayley.
I’m an Antenatal & Postnatal Educator, based in Berkshire. I’m also a proud mum to a gorgeous rainbow girl and a self-confessed Vinted addict. I have a huge passion for supporting others. I love birth chat, making learning fun, and connecting with people. There is no ‘perfect birth’ here; all that matters to me is that you feel prepared and respected throughout your journey.
Birth education really fascinates me. Having experienced pregnancy after loss and a birth that didn't go to plan, my journey was far from smooth. Despite this, it was a huge learning curve and I knew I wanted to share it with others. I trained with the award-winning Our Baby Club and The Perinatal Academy and decided to start The Welcoming Baby Co. I’m here to support your unique journey and build a welcoming community. Your well-being matters just as much as your baby’s.
As a mum, I understand the joys and challenges of birth and parenting. My courses cover everything you need to prepare yourselves (even if it’s not your first baby). Honest, evidence-based information, with heaps of practical tools and plenty of REAL advice from parents. We’ll also explore how you can care for your newborn (and each other) in those early weeks. I’m not here to tell you the ‘best’ way to do things (there’s no competition here), instead I will provide a safe space for you to explore what works for you. Your emotional well-being is so important.
We welcome ALL births. Oh, and did I mention cake? There’s plenty of that too.
I deliver my courses on a 1-to-1 basis because I want to give YOU as much of my time as possible; I genuinely care about you and your birth partner. You are at the heart of every session. I don’t use a one-size-fits-all course, I want to support YOUR birth. As your environment has a huge impact on your birth, I insist on teaching at home - I want you to feel like you’re sat with an old friend, when there’s no such thing as a silly question and advice is offered alongside a hot cuppa and plenty of snacks; this means you’re also welcome to turn up in your comfies.
Birth is only the beginning. Society puts so much pressure on us to ‘bounce back’ but life with a newborn is so much more than that. That’s why I have created The Nest- a weekly nurture group to support you and baby. A safe and cosy space to connect with others, offload your worries and learn some really handy tips and tricks to use for years to come.
Pregnancy and motherhood can be lonely at times so I run a monthly socials- a great way to make some new friends, offload your worries and celebrate what’s to come.
